Virgin Australia passengers injured after rough landing

A Virgin Australia plane’s rough landing at the Sunshine Coast Airport on Wednesday has injured several passengers.

Flight VA1507 was forced to divert to Brisbane after the plane hit the tarmac at the Sunshine Coast airport too hard, according to the Sunshine Coast Daily.

‘He was coming down way too fast,’ one passenger said.

‘It was quite a loud bang,’ another added.

The impact left some of the passengers with shoulder injuries.

‘The safety of our guests and crew is our number one priority,’ a statement from Virgin read.

‘VA1507 was not able to land safely at Maroochydore Airport today to the Captain made the decision to divert to Brisbane Airport where guests were taken by bus to Maroochydore Airport.’
