Less than 10 minutes later the 25 scored hers and Arsenal’s second, receiving the ball in the box before tucking it neatly beneath Slavia Prague goal-keeper Olivie Lukasova.

Two minutes after that, Miedema was in dream land, bagging her hat-trick after poking the ball home in the box to take her to 100 Arsenal goals in an astonishing 110 games.

The game well and truly over, the Gunners found time to score a fourth after Nikita Parris was fouled in the penalty area. Kim Little made no mistake from the spot.

Arsenal breezed through to the Champions League with a 7-0 aggregate win and a fifth victory in five games for new manager Eidevall.

The Gunners join Chelsea in the group stages, but Manchester City were knocked out once again by Real Madrid.
