An onlooker, who snapped the picture while waiting for an Uber after dining with family at a neighboring restaurant, said the server was ‘very upset’ and ‘screaming’.

They told DailyMailTV: ‘I was standing on the corner waiting for my Uber and saw a cop car and two secret service cars pull up.

‘I saw this woman being pulled out of the bar. It all happened super quickly.

‘She looked very upset. She was screaming about something. She was very wound up.

‘She was cooperative when they were putting handcuffs on her.

‘She was clearly very upset and agitated.’

Trump told Breitbart News: ‘It was purely a disgusting act by somebody who clearly has emotional problems.

‘When somebody is sick enough to resort to spitting on someone, it just emphasizes a sickness and desperation and the fact that we’re winning.’

The woman, who appeared to be in her mid thirties, has been placed on leave as the establishment’s HR team investigate the incident.

The owners of Aviary confirmed their human relations team was involved in the incident and said ‘no customer should ever be spit upon’.

The statement also says employees have received threats and fake reviews are being posted about the lounge.

It read said: ‘Last night an unfortunate incident occurred between an employee at The Aviary and Eric Trump.

Last week, Eric's pregnant wife Lara (pictured with Donald Trump, Eric and their son) spoke out against the incident, claiming such an insult would never happen to the Clinton or Obama children. Lara, who is also a senior adviser to Donald Trump in his 2020 campaign, slammed the confrontation as 'disgusting' adding such acts of aggression only come from liberals

‘The online discussion about the incident is troubling. Hundreds of people are calling for the demise of our business, threatening our employees, and posting fake reviews. They are wrong to do so based on the actions of a lone individual.

‘So too, however, are those people wrong who are praising this as an act of civil disobedience. We have voices and the means to be heard. A degrading act lowers the tenor of debate. To some it might feel good, but it is unlikely to serve any larger purpose.

‘We hope this incident can, at least, serve to illuminate the current absurdity of the discourse in our politics. As fellow Americans and citizens, we should all aim higher.

The Aviary did not return DailyMailTV’s request for comment.
