Muslim feminist Dr. Susan Carland has announced a new TV hosting gig with SBS.
The wife of The Project’s Waleed Aly, 38, will host a new quiz show for gifted children in November, titled Child Genius.
After her new TV role was announced at the SBS showcase on Thursday night, Susan took to Instagram to share the exciting news with her fans.

Following the news of veteran reporter Lee Lin Chin’s resignation at the network, Susan joked: ‘No, I’m not taking over from Lee Lin Chin.’
According to the Herald Sun, the SBS show will follow clever children, aged from seven to 12 over six episodes.
Susan’s new show has been made in association with Australian Mensa – the largest and oldest high IQ society in the world.

‘I’m so excited to be a part of Child Genius, because this is a program that celebrates intellectual achievement in children,’ she said.
‘Our kids rarely get a chance to see that championed — there’s a lot of TV celebrities, and even more YouTube stars for them to admire, but rarely do kids get to see people up in lights for their brains, especially children their own age.’
On Instagram, she shared a picture from the set, writing: ‘So thrilled to finally be able to tell you I’m hosting Child Genius, a show about really smart kids!’
‘These kids will astound you….and make you feel pretty dopey. I did. Repeatedly.’
Child Genius is due to air on SBS in November.
Susan tied the knot with Waleed in 2002, after the pair knew each other since they were both 16.

When Waleed won the coveted Gold Logie in 2016 for Best Personality On Australian Television, he thanked his beautiful wife during his acceptance speech.
The couple share two children, daughter Aisha, 14, and son Zayd, 10, who Waleed has previously boasted about being ‘high achievers’.
