Wally Lewis’ TV star son Lincoln ‘will REFUSE to go to his dad’s wedding’ as it’s rumoured the footy legend will marry glamorous new flame after leaving his wife of 36 years

  • Came as he ended his 36-year marriage
  • Split reportedly created rift in Lewis family

Wally Lewis is rumoured to be on the verge of proposing to his girlfriend Lynda Adams – but if they do tie the not, the footy legend’s son Lincoln reportedly won’t be watching them walk down the aisle.

The man known to NRL fans as ‘The King’ looked smitten as he was photographed with Adams at Brisbane Airport two weeks ago as she sported a very impressive ring on her right hand.

They became a couple in early 2021, shortly after Lewis announced his divorce from ex-wife Jacqui after they shared 36 years and three children together.

Lewis’s children Mitchell, Jamie-Lee and former Home and Away star Lincoln reportedly sided with their mother when the marriage break-up rocked the footy world in February 2021.

Now a proposal could be imminent and the footy icon’s son wants no part of it, according to Woman’s Day.

‘Wally wants all his kids and grandkids present at the wedding but Lincoln has already made it clear he will not be there,’ the magazine quoted a family insider as saying.

All three of his children were barely on speaking terms with the 63-year-old and Lincoln completely backed his mother when their break-up became public in February 2021, the Daily Telegraph reported.

‘Lincoln and his mum have always been very tight… he’s very much his mother’s boy,’ a friend told the newspaper.

The Logie winner’s mum reportedly played a big role in supporting his acting career.

‘She was the one who really encouraged him to pursue acting and always took a much bigger [parenting] role in his life,’ the friend said.

‘He has always been open about that with people close to him. He has been known to say that he was raised by his mother.’

The former Brisbane Broncos, Queensland and Kangaroos superstar said he wanted to ‘acknowledge the pain and upset my family has gone through’ when his split with Jacqui occurred.

‘I hope over time we can rebuild our ties and move on with life,’ he said in a statement.

Lewis left his role as Channel Nine’s Queensland sport presenter in January due to health reasons, saying he wouldn’t leave the broadcaster entirely but would instead ‘take more of a backseat role in the studio’.
