  • He was suspected of killing Antonio Rodriguez, 52, on Monday at an apartment when the suspect reportedly attempted to rob him
  • The next day the suspect robbed a liquor store just blocks from where he lived
  • On Wednesday he confronted cops with a gun and was shot dead by officers 

A man wanted for murder and armed robbery has been shot dead in a confrontation with police. 

The 22-year-old unidentified suspect had been under surveillance Wednesday morning in Los Angeles when he confronted officers shirtless and with a backpack on around 10.20am. 

FOX 11 reports that he came out with a gun and authorities ordered him to put his hands up. 

Someone yelled ‘he’s got a gun’ and officers soon fired.

The suspect was pronounced dead at the scene.

The man was suspected of killing Antonio Rodriguez, 52, on Monday at an apartment when the suspect reportedly attempted to rob him.  

The next day the suspect robbed a liquor store on Kester Ave and Burbank Blvd, just a few blocks from where he lived. 

The store clerk told FOX 11 that the suspect pointed a gun and threatened to shoot him. 

He then fled the scene, only taking bottles of liquor and wine. 

Surveillance photo showed the suspect wearing a red shirt and black jacket, helping police to identify the man.
