Wardrobe Wisdom with Nicola Bonn

My typical day starts with a 2.30am alarm, so I plan my outfit the night before. For my early morning breakfast show comfort is key.

I love a pair of luxe PJs. After my show I try to have a nap. I find that my odd sleep patterns are made a bit easier if I’m wearing indulgent pyjamas.

Jumpsuits are my kickback staple when I’m working on freelance writing projects in the afternoon. They can be dressed up with costume jewellery if need be.

I love to play with colour. I’m drawn to reds and greens of all shades, plus the occasional splash of leopard print.

I like heels, but because I do a lot of running around – for work and with my two small children – I wear flats most days. Russell & Bromley loafers are my smart alternative to trainers.

I’m a sentimental shopper. My favourite items – from the Anya Hindmarch handbag I bought to celebrate my first job to the silk sundress I wore on my honeymoon – bring back lovely memories.
