Warren Beatty plays Jimmy Kimmel’s shrink in Oscar promo

While Jimmy Kimmel will be returning to host the Academy Award this year, it took a bit of convincing to get him on board.

A brand new promo for the awards ceremony jokingly shows the late night host venting about last year’s chaos, after stars Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway accidentally announced La La Land as Best Picture instead of real winner Moonlight.

‘You know, I dream about it every night,’ the star confided to his therapist, who was later revealed to be none other than Beatty himself.

Flashbacks of the 2017 ceremony whirred past.

‘I can’t even open the mail,’ he continued, ‘Because of envelopes.’

Then he accosts a barista for writing the wrong name on his coffee, berating him saying: ‘You gotta get the name right!’

‘I tried to put it behind me,’ he explained while torching his tuxedo on a barbecue grill.

‘I feel like I’m losing me mind,’ Jimmy griped.

‘And the worst part is they want me to do it again. So, what do I do?’

The camera pans out to reveal a patiently listening Warren Beatty reluctantly playing the part of therapist.

Appearing at his wit’s end, the actor then yells at Jimmy, telling him: ‘I don’t care what you do just get out of my house!’

Rather than let it ruffle his feathers, Kimmel shrugged things off and hopped from the recliner.
