Wedding cake hits the floor during couple’s food fight

An adorable video shows a bride and groom cutting their wedding cake at the reception when the bride follows tradition and shoves a slice in her new husband’s face.

Fearing retaliation she skitters away from the cake table as he wipes icing off his face and tries to convince her to come take a slice of the cake in his hand. 

She nervously walks near him and tries to take a delicate bite ends up with cake in her face anyway.

She backs away fearing retaliation but he manages to wipe cake on her face anyway

Thinking that the battle is over, she stands behind the cake and he pulls her head down, trying to smash her head into the triple-tiered confection. 

As the fights to keep her head out of the icing the cake topples over onto the dance floor and they both start laughing.

The groom goes to pick up the fallen cake and put it back on the table as the bride stands at a safe distance. Once the cake is back on the table he throws a chunk at her. 

Finally the two make a truce and share a sugary kiss by the ruined cake. 

The video was taken in June but was posted to Jukin Media on Tuesday. It is unclear where in the U.S. it was taken.

She thinks the battle is over but he grabs the back of her head and tries to smash it into the cake. He is unsuccessful and the four-tiered confection goes crashing to the ground

They finally make a truce and share a sweet kiss after he returns the cake to the table
