A serial wedding crasher has pleaded guilty to stealing gifts from five newlywed couples.

Brian Keith Starr, 42, admitted to swiping $18,737 worth of gifts from five weddings in Oregon, including four that were being held on the same day.

Starr, who pleaded guilty on Friday, is expected to serve a two and a half year sentence as part of a plea deal, according to court documents obtained by the Register Guard.

He is scheduled to be sentenced in Lane County Circuit Court on Monday.

Lane County Sheriff’s Office said they first received a report of gifts being stolen from a wedding on July 15.

A box containing cash, gift cards, checks and other gifts that totaled $5,300 for the newly married couple was taken sometime throughout their celebrations.

The four other thefts all took place on July 28 where Starr swiped more than $11,000 worth of wedding gifts.

Starr also took motorcycle helmets and equipment, which came to $2,300, from two couples attending one of the weddings.

One of the brides posted a photo of Starr on Facebook asking for help identifying him after he was pictured at her July 28 wedding carrying a gift bag.

‘Do any of our friends or family know who the guy in the blue shirt is? We do not recognize him,’ Janell Evenson wrote.

‘We also do not have the gift bag in his hand, nor did we serve that type of drink…. Not accusing anyone, just trying to figure this all out. Any information helps.’

Days later, Evenson posted a photo of Starr’s mugshot saying: ‘They found him!’

Authorities said tips from residents had helped identify Starr as the suspect.

Sheriff’s deputies arrested Starr on August 2 and booked him for multiple counts of theft, felon in possession of a weapon and methamphetamine possession.

He pleaded guilty to the first-degree theft and weapons charges.
