Wendy Williams says she wanted a divorce from Kevin the minute she found out he was cheating

Wendy Williams has revealed that she knew she wanted a divorce from Kevin Hunter the moment she ‘found out’ about his affair.

Williams dumped Hunter, 47, in April after his long-term affair with massage therapist Sharina Hudson, 33, was exposed by DailyMail.com.

The 55-year-old TV mogul stopped by ‘SiriusXM’s Sway in the Morning’ on Wednesday to dish about her split from her ex-husband while telling the show what she is looking for in a future partner.

‘You know I am 55 I don’t want to be with someone who wants to be a rapper you know what I mean. You might see me on a date with a 32 year old please don’t mistake that for anything other than we are on a date, what I need is the comfort of a man who’s got his own and grown kids, I ain’t changing pampers.’

Hunter was subsequently fired from ‘The Wendy Williams Show’.

‘I wanted a divorce like yesterday, I wanted a divorce two months ago, three months ago. Whenever I found out, four months ago,’ she explained to Sway Calloway.

‘I want a divorce and I want to be friends with Kevin. I mean, and not because we have a son but because that was real love.

‘I still love him just not in that way. You either in or you are out with me. I still have love for him and I wish him the best in his new life with his new family…’

The TV host explained that at the start of their 22-year-long marriage, she was wrapped up in love and not worried about making Hunter sign a pre-nup.

‘I didn’t think it would end first of all, and second of all that is not sexy to introduce paperwork when you are in love with somebody, but as a grown person I’d get with another grown person and that grown person would have a thriving career, I would choose differently this time,’ she added.

Earlier this week, a source told DailyMail.com that Williams was set to take Hunter back as her business manager – after having a series of emotional heart-to-heart talks.

But on the radio show Williams denied that Hunter would be her business manager, emphasizing that the ‘only business that he can manage right now is to sign some divorce papers.’

She added: ‘We are not working together on anything but a divorce, the house is on the market, the show is not cancelled, the employees are not fleeing the scene from the happiest place to work, I lead with kindness. I am not sick. I am not relasping or have I.’

When Williams filed for divorce in April this year, her contrite ex released a statement, apologizing and saying he was ‘trying to right some wrongs’.

‘I am not proud of my recent actions and take full accountability and apologize to my wife, my family and her amazing fans,’ Hunter wrote in the statement. ‘I am going through a time of self-reflection and am trying to right some wrongs.

’28 years ago I met an amazing woman: Wendy Williams. At the time, I didn’t realize that she would not only become my wife, but would also change the face of entertainment and the world. I have dedicated most of our lives to the business empire that is Wendy Williams Hunter, a person that I truly love and respect unconditionally,’ he said.

‘No matter what the outcome is or what the future holds, we are still The Hunter Family and I will continue to work with and fully support my wife in this business and through any and all obstacles she may face living her new life of sobriety, while I also work on mine.’

Hunter, who had produced the Wendy Williams Show up until recently and has a 19-year-old son Kevin Jr with Williams, also vowed to get a handle on his drinking problem, and promised to stand by his son’s mother.

In 2017 a DailyMailTV expose revealed Hunter’s ten-year affair with massage therapist Sharina Hudson, 33.
