Police admitted they would be unable to find the culprit who stole a gun during a three-day orgy because swingers wore masks and used aliases.

Some 20 people attended the sex party in Volusia County, Florida, on July 19 when a 9mm Glock went missing from a stand in the master bedroom, according to New York Daily News.

The 63-year-old victim had advertised the gathering as an ‘anonymous party’ on a gay social media site and encouraged revellers to use aliases or no names at all.

Guests also wore masks, were invited to ‘come and go as they pleased’ and were told to bring friends, according to the publication.

But the victim was unable to give the Sheriff names of possible suspects after he admitted he only knew ‘five or six’ of the party-goers, a report stated.

‘We’re probably not going to solve this one,’ Volusia County Sheriff’s Sgt. Todd Smith said, according to The Daytona Beach News Journal.

‘And DNA (identification) is not going to be an option.’

Police were unable to develop leads and have the case has now been classified as ‘suspended/inactive’.
