A remote camping ground in the outback of Western Australia has been named one of the world’s must-visit destinations for 2020 by travel giant Flight Centre.

Imintji, an isolated oasis in the Kimberley region of WA, is ranked second in the 2020 WOW List, a collection of the world’s 50 best travel experiences for the year ahead.

The Kimberley is Western Australia’s most sparsely populated northern region known for its dramatic rugged gorges, ancient Aboriginal art, iconic boab trees and thundering waterfalls.

Glamping at the Bell Gorge Wilderness Lodge in Imintji near King Leopold Ranges, in the state’s ancient gorge and cattle farming region, is specifically recommended for adventure seekers as a unique opportunity to disconnect from the modern world.

The camp is close to a wealth of natural attractions including majestic waterfalls, untouched bush walking trails, deep rock pools and hot springs.

Less than two hours drive along the Gibb River Road is the famous Bell Gorge, which is widely regarded as the Kimberley’s most beautiful mountainous valley.
