The episode begins with William having a dinner at a fancy restaurant, with two people who thinks they are close friends with him.

When he asks what his name is, the man just laughs, as William says he can do anything he wants to anyone in this restaurant.

He says they represent, ‘a very significant investment’ and that they will not remember anything and they have no control.

‘It’s genuine, it’s beautiful, really. A beautiful lie,’ he says, when he’s interrupted by Clementine (Angela Sarafyan), who needs help with a client telling the couple to wait for him, as they freeze.

Clementine and William walk up to an apartment building and into an apartment where a number of people are dead.

A woman named Hope is saying she won the game, with Hope bloodied, as William asks if she knows who he is.

She says she does and her procedure is up next week, as William jokes she’s ‘going out with a bang.’

William says the hosts ‘just can’t be replaced’ as Hope says, ‘the things they say, the way they act, just gets under your skin.’

William says there are no rules here, and there are no rules for what he can do for those who don’t respect this place.

He tells Clementine to go back to where she came from as Clementine smiles at her as William goes back to the couple in the restaurant.

He wants to get to know each other a little more and sits down with them as the title sequence begins.

The brunt of this season has followed Charlotte Hale revealing she wants to turn the human race into her very own puppets.

Just like how the humans controlled the robotic ‘hosts’ in Westworld, Charlotte wants to do the same to all of humanity.

It was revealed in the third episode – Annees Folles – that Charlotte is using tiny robotic flies to infect humans and turn them into her own puppets.
