What about The Bachelor winner? Nick Cummins’ friend CONFIRMS he’s fleeing Australia before finale

He’s been rumoured to be jetting out of Australia to avoid the huge fanfare that will surround this week’s finale of The Bachelor after ‘splitting’ from the winner.

And on Saturday, Nick ‘Honey Badger’ Cummins’ friend confirmed the 30-year-old will not be around to take part in the press circuit that will follow the final episode.

Instead, Nick is flying to Papua New Guinea on Monday morning and will be spending eight days on the Kokoda jungle trek – presumably out of phone range.

What about The Bachelor winner? Nick Cummins’ friend CONFIRMED he’s fleeing Australia on Monday ahead of finale …after ‘splitting’ from reported winner Brittany Hockley

‘If he can deal with 30 women then I’m pretty sure walking through the jungle for eight days is going to be a walk in the park,’ James Brodie, who will be competing in the grueling challenge with Nick for charity, told the Manly Daily on Saturday.

James also hinted that Nick’s experience on The Bachelor will definitely help him on their trek, adding: ‘I think it absolutely helped his mental state and built his mental toughness to deal with all these sorts of things.’

The confirmation that Nick will not be in Australia for the finale is a telling sign that appears to confirm reports he has ‘split’ from rumoured winner Brittany Hockley.

Usually following a Bachelor finale, the winner will accompany their partner in days  of interviews after finally being able to go public with their relationship.

Before flying out on Monday, an Instagram post from Nick’s sister Bernadette on Saturday fueled the speculation that the rugby star is single again.

A picture showed Nick relaxing on a beach during sunset with a handful of family members and close friends.

If he were still in a relationship with the winner of the show, however, it would make more sense for him to keep a low profile during these final days before they can go public.

And on Friday, it appeared that the sportsman was single and ready to mingle as he attended the Deni Ute Muster in Deniliquin, in southern New South Wales.

The 30-year-old was all smiles as he posed for photos with female fans at the event.

With much excitement surrounding the show’s finale, Nick’s choice to attend the festival, alongside an estimated 20,000 other people, is very telling.

Last year’s Deni Ute Muster event featured naked mud dancing, gas-powered beer bongs and public spanking.

This isn’t naturally the environment you’d expect to find someone about to go public with the love of their life after months of hiding their apparent romance.
