A. Cunard has a 33-night, full-board cruise from Southampton to Perth from £3,588pp, or £5,626 for solo travellers (iglucruise.com). Currently, only return journeys by cargo ship from Western Australia are available. They take 40 days and cost £6,162 for a single traveller (cruisepeople.co.uk).

Q. Are any around-the-world cruises available covering 80 days?

A. All journeys take a little longer. One of the shortest is 108 nights via the Panama Canal, Sydney and the Suez Canal, departing Southampton in January 2021, from £12,199pp (fredolsencruises.com).
