Wheel of Fortune Australia is coming back… but it will be filmed in the UK and hosted by Irish comedian Graham Norton
Wheel of Fortune is returning to Australian screens with a twist.
The beloved game show, which last aired Down Under in 2008, will now be filmed in the UK, with Irish comedian Graham Norton stepping in as host.
Norton is best known for hosting The Graham Norton Show, which airs in Australia on Channel 10.
The Aussie Wheel of Fortune revival is currently casting, with producers seeking Aussie expats in the UK for the limited series.
Norton is also set to host the UK version of the game show, so it’s likely that both may be filmed back-to-back.

‘We are thrilled to have the much loved Graham Norton bringing this iconic game show to our viewers. Anything can happen on the spin of a wheel, it is going to be so much fun,’ British broadcaster ITV said in a statement.
A network for the Australian reboot has yet to be announced.
According to TV Blackbox, the Australian series will ‘likely’ air as a series of primetime specials next year.
Wheel of Fortune was last on Aussie screens back in 2008 under the name Million Dollar Wheel of Fortune, with Tim Campbell as host.

It delivered low ratings for Channel Nine and was cancelled after a month.
Previous Wheel of Fortune hosts over the year include John Burgess, Rob Elliott and Larry Emdur.
The game show is also known for launching the career of co-host Adriana Xenides, who tragically passed in 2010.
Meanwhile, a number of game shows are set to return to Australian screens soon.
Channel 10 is currently planning to revive Deal or No Deal, along with a reboot of ’90s competition series Gladiators.
