Fitness influencer Steph Claire Smith has revealed her surprising friendship with one of America’s biggest stars.
On Friday, the 25-year-old undertook a Q&A with fans on Instagram and as a result, she was asked by fans how she had come to meet US singer Taylor Swift.
Taking a trip down memory lane, Steph shared two pictures alongside the Grammy-Award winning artist.

She also explained the two met at a gym in their younger years, while Steph was working as a model in New York City and the pop star had relocated to the Big Apple.
‘I was training with Justin Gelband, doing some of his classes and also one on one session,’ she began.
‘He trained Taylor – and one day when I was going in for my session she had just ended hers so we met in the change rooms.
‘There were heaps of paparazzi out the front of the gym so she wasn’t in any rush and we got chatting.’

The girls got along so well, Taylor told Steph she was happy to be her ‘first American friend.’
‘Anyway we caught up the next day, got brunch, trained together,’ she added.
Steph and Taylor enjoyed each other’s company so much, she accompanied the blonde beauty to a pet adoption centre where they picked up one of Taylor’s kittens.
‘We caught up probably four times after that and stayed in touch over text for about a year afterwards,’ Steph continued.

It is believed the girls met in June 2014 as Steph had previously shared pictures alongside Taylor on Twitter at the time.
Steph has since returned to Australia where she focusses her energy as business woman, successfully running her wellness app, Keep It Cleaner.
Things are going well in her personal life too. In May, she welcomed her first baby, a boy, Harvey, alongside husband Josh Miller.
