Australia’s most popular residential property was viewed almost 14,000 times in four days before being flooded with offers well above the asking price.

The Gold Coast home immediately received 30 written offers from prospective buyers willing to pay above the price guide of $605,000 to $665,000.

Real estate agent Stewart Reed said he toured 243 groups of buyers through the home in scenes he ‘doubted’ he would ever see again.

Up to 13,000 people viewed the property online while more than 750 people inspected the home in person.

Mr Reed felt the unrenovated Tugan home, which remained untouched for 30 years, added a heightened level of appeal for some buyers.

The owners and their property manager transformed the look of the property with focus on presentation and a new coat of white paint.

‘This bunch of buyers felt the property was so beautiful they didn’t care that the house was 30 years old because they fell in love with the presentation,’ Mr Reed said.

‘We got a response and a sale price which has left the sellers smiling.’

Mr Reed said many of the offers were above $700,000, realestate.com reported.

Mr Reed said there are always buyers ready to snatch up a property that's 'presented and priced to sell', especially for in-demand areas like the Gold Coast

He said a large pool of buyers exists who will always want to snatch up a property that is ‘presented and priced to sell’.

‘Even in a cautious market like this, buyers will step up to part with money if they believe they’re getting the best buy or the perfect solution to their lifestyle with nothing left to do,’ he said.

The four bedroom and three bathroom home also proved popular with renovators

The median price for a home in Tugun, bordering the beach, is listed at $698,000.

It’s considered a ‘high demand’ area with more than 1500 real estate queries and 541 property visits every day.
