They’re the glamorous WAGS who usually turn heads while supporting their footballing other halves at the coveted AFL Brownlow Medal ceremony each year.
But on Monday night, Nadia Bartel, Jesinta Franklin (née Campbell) and Rebecca Judd were noticeably absent from the red carpet.
Each star shared what they were doing instead of attending the glitzy event to Instagram, no doubt disappointing fashion lovers in the process.

The three high-profile couples were not in attendance, offering little reason for their absence to their 1.4million combined followers.
Usually a red carpet regular, model Jesinta (wife of Sydney Swan’s player Lance ‘Buddy’ Franklin) appeared to watch the ceremony from home with a glass of wine and a cheese board.
She posted two clips to her Instagram Stories showing off the tasty spread with a caption that read: ‘Big event tonight…’
As Jesinta posted a photo of a smoothie and ‘sick-face’ emoticon a day earlier, it was assumed the star was not well enough to attend.

The TV personality traded her signature frocks for activewear, as she took to Instagram Stories performing a gruelling workout on Monday.
The mother-of-four also appeared to be relishing in family time with her young children during the school holidays, as she shared an adorable video of them playing in their home.

Nadia, wife of past Brownlow medallist Jimmy Bartel and regular on the best-dressed lists, told AAP on Monday that the couple would not attend, offering no reason for their absence, while indicating they ‘will be there in the future’.
