Wife accused of babying husband with lavish lunches she makes every day: ‘Is this for a child?’

Wife, 25, accused of ‘babying’ husband with the lavish lunches she makes him every day: ‘Is this for a child?’

  • Liza Stian, 25, makes her husband elaborate bento box lunches every day
  • Thousands have accused her of ‘babying’ her spouse with childish food

A young wife has been criticised for cooking her husband extravagant meals every morning to take to work, with some arguing that she is treating her spouse like a child.

Liza Stian has gained popularity for the elaborate, intricate lunchboxes she makes her husband everyday – and most meals take upwards of an hour to prepare and pack.

The 25-year-old woman often goes the extra mile by baking bread from scratch, uses duck-shaped bao, and cuts deli meats into hearts.

Many of Liza’s meals also follow a specific theme – such as a Disney bento box with Mickey Mouse rice balls and and a Pokémon lunch with Pikachu macarons.

While some think Liza’s effort should be applauded, others have shunned her ‘traditional’ approach and accused her of ‘babying’ a grown man with the cartoon lunches.

Several thousand people have left comments on her videos demanding to know more about her relationship.

‘What, is he five-years-old?’ a woman remarked on a video of Hello Kitty rice balls, teddy bear-shaped meat, and mini Oreos.

Another asked, ‘Why can’t your husband cook for himself? He’s a grown man and needs to learn how to take care of his own meals.’

‘I thought this was for a child,’ a woman added.

‘A lot of your food is too girly – does your husband get bullied for bringing pink pasta to work?’ another said on a video of homemade beetroot pasta sauce.

While others questioned what her husband does for her to deserve such special treatment.

‘Why haven’t you divorced him yet and started making these lunches for yourself?’ one said.

‘I envy your husband, what has he done to deserve this,’ a woman wrote.

‘I wish you were my mum because these lunches are perfect for kids, but not a grown man,’ another said.

Some have criticised her small portion sizes and accused her of sacrificing her husband’s nutrition for an aesthetically pleasing lunchbox.

‘Why are you starving your husband?’ a woman asked about a lunch with six pieces of ravioli and two macarons. ‘I prepare thrice the amount of this for my man.’

‘Most of these ‘lunches’ really look like snacks – my boyfriend would need at least four times the food,’ another said.

‘These lunches look great but there’s no way a grown man will survive off this,’ a woman said.

But many were just happy Liza had the time and energy to put so much effort into her husband’s food.

‘It’s so lovely to see you cooking such nice meals for your husband,’ a woman said.

‘Thank you for your videos – they give me great ideas for my own lunches!’ another wrote.
