William Shatner teams with Legion M and Exhibit A for a new documentary on his life

The incredible life of William Shatner will be on full display in a brand new documentary, with fans set to get a first look in July.

Shatner, 91, is teaming with Legion M and Exhibit A Pictures for the new film, according to Variety.

The documentary does not have a title yet, though fans will get a first look at footage of the film at San Diego Comic-Con in July.

Alexandre O. Philippe is directing the documentary, which does not have a title yet, and it’s not clear when it may be released.

Legion M is branded as the first ‘fan-owned entertainment studio,’ which announced in December that Shatner was joining its advisory board.

‘For years I’ve had people approaching me to do a documentary about my life, but I turned them all down because it didn’t feel like the right fit,’ Shatner said.

‘When I heard how Legion M wanted to incorporate audiences to be a part of it, it was perfect,’ he added.

‘Fans have been responsible for my career — it only seems right that they should own this doc,’ Shatner concluded.

Filmmaker and huge Shatner fan Kevin Smith (Clerks) will moderate the San Diego Comic-Con panel in Hall H.

Legion M will allow fans to directly provide funds to produce the film, which will then allow them a share in the potential profits.

While investor terms are not available yet, fans can make a non-binding reservation to fund them film at Join.LegionM.com.

No time and date for the Hall H Comic-Con panel has been announced yet.
