Brigette Macron and Argentinian First Lady Juliana Awada brought a touch of glamour to proceedings as the world’s First Ladies met at the G20 summit in Japan on Friday.   

The partners and wives of the world’s leaders cut a stylish figure as they posed for a ‘family photo’ atTofuku-ji Temple in Kyoto

Leading the way, Juliana, 44 – the wife of Argentinian President Mauricio Macri – opted for a yellow floral maxi dress, which she paired with brown sandals. 

Brigitte Macron, 66 – the wife of French President Emmanuel, brought a splash of colour to the occasion in a blue dress, while Małgorzata Sochacka, 62 – the wife of European Council President Donald Tusk – similarly wore a pretty pastel outfit. 

However, while her husband Donald Trump exchanged greetings with a grinning Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salma, the usually stylish Melania, 49, was noticeably absent.

Japan’s Prime Minister Shinzo Abe’s wife Akie Abe, 57, took centre stage in a two-toned purple dress which she paired with black patent shoes, while the former President of Indonesia Susilo Bambang’s wife Yudhoyono, 66, also smiled for the camera. 

She donned a colourful bright paisley-pattered dress complete with jewel neck detail and accessorised with a black bag which she carried on her left arm. 

Others at the meeting included Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez’s wife Maria, 44, who opted for a summery white dress with peter pan collar, and Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison’s wife Jenny, 51, who opted for a silk blue number. 

They were all joined by British Prime Minister Theresa May’s husband Philip, 61, who looked smart in a black blazer, white shirt and tie as he gave a wave to cameras.

Turning heads, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s other half Sophie, 44, stood out in a long-sleeved grey and yellow floaty dress which fell below her knee. 

Meanwhile, South Korean First Lady Kim Jung-sook, 64, and South African First Lady Tshepo Motsepe, 66, who stood side-by-side for the snap, looked elegant in coordinated cropped blue blazers. 

Turkish First Lady Emine Erdogan, 64, also posed for the group pictures wearing a smart black and white outfit. 

Others opted for two pieces, including Ho Ching, 66 – who is married to Singapore’s Prime Minister – who fashioned a pair of pretty pink trousers with a coordinated top.
