WNBA player Elena Delle Donne tied the knot to longtime girlfriend Amanda Clifton in a gorgeous gardenesque castle ceremony.
The lovebirds said their ‘I dos’ Friday afternoon in front of loved ones and friends at the Hempstead House in Sands Point, New York.
The beaming blonde beauties donned classical-romantic gowns, while Delle Donna elected a long sleeve Ersa Aterlier number and Clifton, a sleeveless Atelier Pronovias.
Floral arrangements overlaid the venue, which included ‘more than 7,000 white roses, 25 bags of Jackson vine, white delphinium, white hydrangeas, Queen Anne’s Lace, ferns and white ranunculus rounded out by locally sourced camellia branches and wisteria vines,’ according to Us Weekly.

White floral arrangements overlaid the venue, which included more than 7,000 white roses and several other selections
After the ceremony, the couple donated the luxurious collection of flowers to the Margaret Tietz Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Queens.
The cake stood a whopping six feet tall and was ‘ombre with marbling, ribbon work, Swiss dots, deckled edges and gold detailing that conceal alternating layers of Funfetti cake with vanilla buttercream and lemon cake with cream cheese frosting.’
While the grand dessert made a statement, it was decorated delicately as well as simple in style.
‘Amanda knew right away she didn’t want any sugar flowers on the cake,’ said Betsy Thorleifson, owner of the bakery, Nine Cakes.

With the assistance of Jove Meyer, a Brooklyn-based event planner, the pair pulled off a pretty, neutral-themed gathering with fresh tones of light pink, pale blue and gray – the colors of the bridesmaid dresses.
The couple, who dated for four years prior to their engagement, told Us Weekly they were overjoyed to host a charity at the celebration on behalf of Delle Donne’s sister, Lizzie, who was born both deaf and blind.
Proceeds from the charity will go toward the sports star’s Elena Delle Donne Foundation – which supports children with disabilities.
Furthermore, Delle Donna and Clifton were named The Knot’s 2017 Dream Wedding duo, making the pair the first-ever same sex couple on the list.

The Knot editor-in-chief, Kellie Gould, told Us that her staff was ‘touched by Elena’s relationship with her sister, Lizzie, and all of the work she and Amanda do for the Elena Delle Donne Foundation.’
She further gushed over the newlyweds: ‘They’re both such compassionate people.’
