  • Four members of ‘La Manada’ are standing trial this week in Cordoba
  • Alleged to have groped an unconscious woman, 21, and filmed it on their phones
  • The four, along with a fifth man, were jailed earlier this year for 15 years
  • They raped an 18-year-old woman at the San Fermin festival in Pamplona in 2016

Four members of a rape gang who called themselves ‘The Wolf Pack,’ who are serving 15 years in jail, have been accused of another sexual assault.

The men, along with a fifth member of ‘La Manada’, were jailed earlier this year for raping an 18-year-old during Pamplona’s famous San Fermin bull-running festival in 2016.

The case sparked public outcry for the lesser sentences of sexual assault handed down by magistrates before the Spanish Supreme Court intervened to jail them for 15 years each.

Alfonso Jesús Cabezuelo, Jesús Escudero, Antonio Manuel Guerrero and José Ángel Prenda are now alleged to have sexually assaulted a 21-year-old woman in Cordoba just weeks before the Pamplona crime.

Prosecutors, opening the case on Monday, said that in the early hours of May 1, 2016, the alleged victim got into the car with the four men.

She had met them at a nightclub during the annual fair in Torrecampo, Cordoba province.

The young woman fell unconscious, the court heard according to El Pais, and on the way to her home they all began groping her breasts and Cabezuelo also kissed her.

The alleged abuse was recorded on phones by two of the defendants and circulated in chat groups.

The woman allegedly woke completely naked in the back of the car, holes ripped in her clothes and bruises on her legs.

The alleged victim is anticipated to give evidence behind a screen tomorrow. She claims to remember nothing of the incident, leading investigators to suspect she was drugged.

Cabezuelo, a former soldier, is further accused of assault for allegedly punching the woman when she refused to perform a sex act.

Protesters gathered outside the court in Cordoba on Monday in support of the alleged victim.

The evidence on the smartphones was obtained as a result of investigations carried out in the Pamplona rape case.

At the Pamplona trial, video from their phones taken at the scene was used as evidence. They had shared footage shortly after the rape and made jokes about it.

The men pleaded not guilty yesterday and exercised their right not to testify.

Angel Boza, the fifth member of La Manada who was jailed earlier this year, was not present at the time of the incident but is being called as a witness in the case.
