A 24-year-old woman has been charged with murder after a man, 23, was stabbed to death.
Police were called to a park on Harwood Drive near Cairns just after midday on Wednesday, after reports of a physical fight between a man and a woman.
The man was taken to hospital with an alleged stab wound on his chest, but died soon after.
The woman, who is known to the man, was arrested at the scene, and will front court for a murder charge at the Innisfail Magistrates Court on Thursday.
