Woman, 27, dumped by Nick Cummins via his Bachelor announcement

In the last week of February, kid’s party business owner Katherine Solly, 27, went on a ‘really nice’ date with Nick ‘The Honey Badger’ Cummins.

Later that week, ‘The Honey Badger,’ 30, discovered he’d been successful with his application to become the next Bachelor, and ended things with Katherine.

Likely bound by a non-disclosure agreement, he then informed her he’d be ‘going away for a while to film a show’ – a few days later, Katherine saw the articles.

At the same time Australia was introduced to its newest Bachelor, Katherine learned why he was unable to spill more details.

Clearly, there would be no second date for Katherine and Nick – but it was never an expectation, and there was absolutely no hard feelings.

‘We had a really nice night, bad timing but wish him all the best – he’s a really good dude!’ she told Daily Mail Australia.

Katherine isn’t the kind of person to dwell on hypothetical futures: It was just a date.

It’s a very different story for the one friend she told however, who couldn’t help but laugh about the whole thing. 

‘Of all of our funny dating stories, this is the most unexpected!’ the friend said.

She also provided the juicy details: ‘They started messaging, then she went overseas for a few months and they messaged every now and then,’ the friend said.

‘Then when she came back they caught up, before finally going on a date a couple of weeks ago.’

 ‘She didn’t give too much away – other than it was an amazing night he said she had “that good vibe” and how much he liked her vibe,’ the friend continued.

From what the friend gathered, Nick was trying his best to be open and honest, but there was only so much he could divulge.

‘She legit thought it was one of his adventure shows or something haha,’ the friend said.

At the end of the day, the friends are just excited to see the lovable larrikin give it a red hot go on The Bachelor this year.

She offered: ‘At least we know for sure he’ll bring his a-game on the show if she said the date was that good!’
