Woman, 27, who lost HALF her body weight reveals her incredible new figure

Simone Anderson, from Auckland, started sharing her weight loss journey online in late 2015.

The 27-year-old decided to overhaul her health in August, 2014, after tipping the scales at 169 kilograms before shedding 92 kilograms via a combination of gastric sleeve surgery, a healthy diet and a rigorous workout program.

Now, almost four years on from her starting point, the stunning blogger has debuted her brand new physique after having the last of her excess skin removed in a painful 10 hour surgery with American surgeon, Dr Remus Repta.

The lower body surgery was a success and was the last of a series of excess skin procedures – the first being a $20,000 abdominoplasty, bra line back lift and breast lift surgery in 2015.

‘I went in at 7am and Repta has planned to be done by 2pm. But it ended up being 5pm! So another TEN hour surgery,’ Ms Anderson said.

‘I truly still can’t believe the ‘after’ is my body I am so blown away!’

Not long after her surgery, the inspiring blogger reflected on how far she’d come since standing on a set of commercial scales on August 29th, 2014.

‘A 23 year old girl who decided that she no longer wanted to live a half life, no longer wanted to turn down simple activities with her friends like beach walks,’ she recalled.

‘I had a food addiction and it needed to change, or I would be bed bound by 30 and have no life at all. How was I going to keep myself self accountable this time, how was I going to make this a life long change?

‘I started with simple changes like cutting out processed foods and adding in an hour walk or swim everyday. Then a few months in I was doing everything I could but hunger still controlled my world so I investigated weight loss surgery options.’

After dropping from 169 kilograms to 77 kilograms, Ms Anderson investigated ways to removed her excess skin.

After spending seven weeks recovering, Ms Anderson shared a snap of herself in a swimsuit and hit back at those who had ever doubted her or critiqued her appearance over the years.

‘This is a message to all the “men” that told me I was unattractive and ugly for years just because of the number I weighed on the sales. Weight doesn’t define a person but an ugly heart will follow you for ever,’ she said.

‘I can lose weight… that personality is for life.’

She also said that while her journey may have looked ‘easy’ in pictures, there have also been a lot of challenges and she has faced ‘hate’ for sharing body confident swimsuit photos on social media.

‘I have had many woman sending me nasty messages telling me I am disgusting for sharing the image on the right [a swimsuit photo],’ she wrote.

‘I shared images of my body my entire journey documenting all angles and positions of my body and loving every single one. Why can’t I appreciate and love my body now?

‘Why should I have to be ashamed of a body I have worked on for hours daily to achieve? A body I have been through hours of surgery with and immense pain to achieve?

‘No matter what size, what shape, what pant size you are you are worthy of your own love all equally.’

Ms Anderson revealed she would have the surgery earlier this year after dreaming about it for two years.

‘It is something I honestly have dreamed of for so long and I never thought I’d be able to do it again or do it again so quickly,’ she said in a video before showing her fans the excess skin on her legs.

‘As you can see, that is all loose skin. You can pull it right out… it’s quite confronting.

‘As easy as that may look for me to show that, it’s not easy and it never gets easier.  I still get nervous before I post these and it terrifies me. I get awful comments, especially on YouTube.’

Simone Anderson’s typical daily meal plan:

Breakfast: A protein shake with a banana and milk

Morning Tea: A small handful of mixed nuts for and a piece of fruit

Lunch: An omelette with veges

Dinner: Brown rice, salmon, avocado and a hard boiled egg.

Tip: I like to have a tea after dinner which stops my craving for anything sweet!

Speaking previously to FEMAIL about her top tips for losing weight and keeping it off, Ms Anderson said: ‘I like to spend a couple of hours each Sunday planning what meals I want for the week, then going food shopping and finally prepping meals and snacks’.

‘I [also] find if I am well hydrated then it also makes a huge difference in my energy levels,’ she said.

‘Ensuring I have good healthy and easy snacks on hand means it helps choose a healthy option over something that is unhealthy or more convenient.’

She also recommended small daily changes – such as changing a catch-up such as a glass of wine to a walk and a smoothie – as the best way to achieve your goals.
