A South Carolina woman has been charged with murder after shooting and killing her ex-husband while he mowed the lawn.
Ella Harris-Elmore, 29, opened fire on her ex-husband Darren, 42, during an argument in the back yard of their home in Reeseville, South Carolina, shortly after 10.30pm on Tuesday night.
Despite having split up, the couple still lived together and seemed like the ‘perfect family’, according to their landlord.
Between them, they have nine children and at least two were inside the house at the time.

According to the police report, Ella told her ex-husband she was going to kill him before she opened fire.
After shooting him, Ella called 911 and told the operator what she had done then waited at her neighbor’s house.
During the call, she said she thought her ex-husband was dead and that his intestines were ‘out’.
He had been shot several times and was dead by the time police got there.
It is not clear what the pair were arguing about or how long they have been estranged.
Landlord Julie Adams told ABC 4: ‘He was cutting the grass and then whatever happened, he was found right here.
‘And the lawnmower, he was right beside the lawnmower.’
Ella was booked in to the Dorchester County Sheriff’s Jail on Tuesday and she remains there.
