A man has been arrested after an elderly woman was found dead inside a Melbourne home.
Police went to a property on Whitehorse Road in Blackburn, in the city’s east, just after 7pm on Tuesday when they found the 77-year-old’s body.
The cause of death is yet to be determined, but the situation is being treated as suspicious.

A 49-year-old man from Blackburn was arrested at the scene and taken into custody.
It is believed the man and the woman knew each other.
Detectives are not looking for anyone else in relation to the incident.
