Woman and teenage girl stabbed at Mt Isa home in Queensland, one fighting for life

Two women have been rushed to hospital with one now fighting for life after they were allegedly stabbed repeatedly at a home in outback Queensland.
Emergency responders were called to a home in Townview near Mount Isa shortly before 5am on Tuesday following reports of an alleged assault and stabbing.
Multiple ambulance units attended the scene and treated two women suffering from multiple injuries.
The women were transported to Mount Isa Hospital.
One aged in her 30s is in a critical condition while a younger women in her late teens is in a serious condition.

‘A man is assisting police with inquiries,’ a police spokeswoman said.
No arrests or charges have been made at this early stage.
Detectives have launched an investigation and set up a crime scene at the home.
