Virginia police have released several shocking photos that show the moment an abducted woman escapes from the trunk of a car only to be recaptured by four men and forced back into the vehicle.
Chesterfield County police officers said the apparent abduction occurred in the parking lot of the Walmart store in Midlothianin around 9pm Sunday night.
Witnesses said as the car pulled up to the store’s grocery-side doors, a male approached the vehicle.

As he opened one of the vehicle’s doors, the vehicle’s trunk opened and the female jumped out and fled.

The other two men are seen getting into the vehicle that witnesses described as being seafoam green in color, having Virginia tags and two different hubcaps.
Other photos show the woman being carried back to the vehicle by one of her captors as the other man follows them.
Police said the woman struggled as they forced her through the parking lot and back into the vehicle.
The vehicle then sped out of the parking lot.
‘We’re investigating it as an abduction at this point, until the investigation proves otherwise,’ Chesterfield police Capt. Jay Thornton said Monday.
Witnesses described the female as black, being between 15-20 years old, and having long hair that was pulled up.
All four men were described as black, with one wearing a white shirt, gray shorts and black-and-white shoes.

The first of the two males who chased the female were wearing all black clothing.
Another was said to wearing a blue shirt and black shorts, while the driver’s clothing was never fully seen since he remained in the car during the incident.
Surveillance video outside the store may have captured the entire incident as it unfolded, but the quality of the footage is poor, according to police.
‘We’re still working on editing that so we can get it into a format that actually is of assistance to us,’ Thornton said, adding that authorities are trying to have it enhanced.
Though several witnesses remained at the scene Sunday night to speak with police, the investigation indicates that some witnesses left the store.
