Woman found dead in NSW shed

A woman has been found dead in a shed at the back of a property in the NSW Riverina region.

Police were called to the property on Kookora Street, Griffith about 4am on Sunday after there were concerns for the welfare of the 27-year-old woman.

Her body was found in a shed, with police treating her death as suspicious.

A 35-year-old man was arrested a few hours later in Griffith in relation to an apprehended violence order breach, NSW Police said in a statement on Sunday.

The nature of the relationship between the pair is being investigated, police said.
