Woman freaks out as she removes lizard from bathroom

Some New Yorkers just aren’t cut out for the southern critters that often unexpectedly end up in homes. 

In a hilarious video, one New York native and her daughter had an unwanted encounter with a tiny lizard. 

‘My mom and I were lifelong New Yorkers who left the cold weather to move to Central Florida,’ the woman’s daughter wrote in the caption of the video.

The woman is seen bending down to scare the intruder out with a broom as she held a butterfly net in the other hand

‘We were experiencing a lizard in the house for the first time shortly after moving and were terrified of the little thing!’ she added. 

The video starts off with the girl’s mother standing in the bathroom preparing for the removal of the reptile. 

‘Oh my God I’m going to have a f**king heart attack,’ the mother is heard saying. 

The woman is then seen bending down to scare the intruder out with a broom as she held a butterfly net in the other hand. 

‘Where’d it go? I can’t see it,’ she yells from the bathroom.  

Moments later, she gets down on all fours and starts screaming when she finally wrangles the reptile inside the net. 

‘Get the door open now!’ she tells her daughter, who then runs to their front door. 

Her mother then runs out of the bathroom and into her garden outside to set the lizard free as they both scream. The hilarious moment was captured in 2013 in Osceola County, Florida but has since re-emerged online.
