Trams between Elizabeth Street and Docklands were brought to a halt following the collision.

The woman was taken to Royal Melbourne Hospital with what is understood to be minor injuries.

‘Collins St trams have now resumed along their normal lines following the earlier disruption,’ Yarra Trams later tweeted.

‘Delays may still occur while we work to restore normal frequency.’
