Woman in her 30s is arrested for attempted murder after boy, 11, and girl, 12, were stabbed

  • They found a boy and a girl, aged 11 and 12, suffering from stab wounds

A woman has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder – after two children aged 11 and 12 were found with stab wounds at a property.

Police and paramedics were called at 11am on Tuesday to Cromwell Road in Peterborough, Cambs., where they found a boy and a girl, aged 11 and 12, suffering from stab injuries.

A Cambridgeshire police spokesman said: ‘The children were taken to hospital for treatment.

‘Neither of their injuries were deemed as life-threatening and they have both since been discharged.

‘A woman in her 30s from Peterborough has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. She remains in custody at this time.

‘Officers are treating this as an isolated incident. The investigation continues.’
