A Florida shopper farted while waiting in line and then pulled out a knife to threaten a customer who complained, it is claimed.

The row allegedly erupted after Shanetta Yvette Wilson passed gas at the Dollar General store in Dania Beach, Florida, on Sunday.

The 37-year-old is said to have had a ‘verbal dispute’ with fellow customer John Walker who commented on her flatulence.

But the argument escalated when Wilson allegedly brandished a ‘lock back knife’ from her bag’, the Miami Herald reported.

A police report claimed that Wilson ‘opened the knife and told the victim she was going to “gut” him’.

Wilson is said to have pulled back her hand as though about to stab the man who had drawn attention to her embarrassing moment.

The man was reportedly left ‘in fear that he was going to be stabbed by the defendant.’

Police found her and used her fellow shopper Walker to identify her after the confrontation in the store.

She is accused of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon without intent to kill.
