An Arlington, Texas, woman was sentenced to five years in prison on Wednesday for recording several masturbation videos with a child present.

An Ellis County jury convicted Miranda Renea Kelso, 25, on one count each of indecency with a child by contact and indecency with a child by exposure on Tuesday.

Authorities said that Kelso recorded multiple videos of herself masturbating.

In one, she made a child younger than five touch her breast and in another the child was just inches away from her, according to Dallas Morning News.

Kelso’s defense was that she had been pressured into recording herself and that she was a victim of domestic violence.

But prosecutors argued that Kelso’s ‘alleged’ abuser was not near her during the incidents.

They also claimed that she practiced sadomasochism, which is sexual gratification from the infliction of physical pain or humiliation either on another person or on oneself.

Ellis County and District Attorney Patrick Wilson thanked the jury for rejecting Kelso’s ‘outrageous and offensive claim,’ according to Dallas Morning News.

He said: ‘To claim domestic violence as a shield against child molestation is disrespectful to the real victim in this case and to all victims of domestic violence.’
