A motorist has been filmed reading a book while driving along a busy motorway.
The video was shared to Facebook page Express Trucking NZ and shows the woman driving along the northern motorway in Auckland while reading a book.
The video was filmed by a motorbike rider as he overtook the small red car.
He notices the woman reading the book, causing him to double check he had really seen it.
Footage has emerged online of a motorist reading a book while driving along a busy motorway on Friday
As he slows down he gets the attention of the woman by sounding his horn.
‘Put that f****** s*** away,’ he is heard shouting at her.
Before the video ends the motorcyclist rides up alongside the woman one more time and it appears she had put the book away.
Facebook users took to the post to share their opinions with some not surprised by the reckless driver.

‘The things we see on the motorway. I’ve seen plenty reading books/newspapers, folding washing, doing makeup, filling out a form the list goes on,’ one user wrote.
‘I’ve watched someone shave. With a straight razor and old-timey foam brush in the cup holder, or a newspaper, folded full open, blocking all the gauges, and half the windscreen,’ another added.
The video has been viewed more than 700 times in the last 18 hours.
