An Australian amateur chef has wowed the internet with a two-minute recipe for Baileys choc-mint parfait using a $4.80 Woolworths mud cake.

The woman shared her invention in a Facebook group saying that something so simple and delicious should ‘be illegal’.

Although it does taste amazing the inclusion of Baileys alcohol means the parfait isn’t suitable for anyone under the age of 18.

So how did she make the restaurant-quality cup of dessert?

‘I bought a Woolworths Chocolate Mud Cake and sliced it in half. You’ll have to remove the icing as well,’ she said.

She used the drinking top of a glass to cut out circular slices from the cake before pouring a small amount of Baileys on the cake to soak through.

‘I then placed a circular cake slither into the bottom of the glass as a base. Following this I mixed Baileys into custard and poured it on top,’ she said.

She took a bar of Peppermint Crisp and grated it as sprinkles on the top, followed by whipped cream.

Repeat these steps until you reach the top of the glass, where you should finish with cream and grated Peppermint Crisp.

While she did have plans to include a chocolate mousse she ultimately decided to leave it out so the dessert wasn’t too rich.

Those that saw the post online have been calling it a ‘mouth-watering treat’.

‘This has to be my first meal post pregnancy,’ one woman responded.

‘Somebody should complain about you, how dare you post something that will easily put on calories just thinking about it,’ said another.

A third added: ‘This is the best cake hack’.
