A Manhattan woman is suing fashion designer Elie Tahari after renting his Hamptons home because she claims she found it infested with ‘flies and vermin and reeking of mold, urine and feces.’

Bridget Maguire claims she rented the home from the Israeli designer without seeing it first and gave him $415,000 upfront, according to the New York Post.

The three-bedroom, three-bath Sagaponack home was featured on real estate sites revealing a clean luxury space and amenities such as a pool and private sun decks overlooking the ocean.

Maguire filed the $13 million lawsuit with Manhattan Supreme Court against Tahari’s ET Crestview Leasing LLC.

In the suit, she claims she discovered the home to be ‘infested with flies, mosquitos and various vermin and reeked of mold, urine, and faces’, the Post reports.

The lawsuit also claims that the pool was ‘green with algae’, and that the air conditioning was ‘completely nonfunctional.’

Maguire also claimed that the bathrooms did not work, a garage door was broken, and other doors in the house did not open.

Tahari allegedly refused to fix the property before the rental, leaving Maguire to spend $150,000 on contractors to make it ‘livable’, said the attorney.

‘They wouldn’t fix it. They wouldn’t come help … they gave her nothing,’ real estate lawyer Adam Leitman Bailey told the Post.

‘The way the Hamptons properties usually are, they’re turnkey, you come in and everything ‘s great.’

The leasing company was also accused of breaking tenant laws due to demanding so much money from Maguire upfront.

‘She paid a lot of money for contractors to come fix everything, turn everything on, get everything working,’ Bailey added.

Tahari bought the three-bedroom, three-bathroom property in 2005 for $12.1 million. He previously listed the property for $45 million in 2017 and then for $39 million in 2019.
