Revealing details of her transformation on Facebook, the delighted woman said it was her father-in-law’s ‘carpentry magic’ that helped her to realise her unique vision.

‘I bought the table and he cut the space for the wine glasses and then lacquered it as well,’ the woman wrote alongside two photos showing off the item.

‘I’ve wanted something like this forever and couldn’t believe when I found the table and the table itself is really well made.’

Photos of the her table reveal how two cuts have been made into the tray table along one side.

These are a little more than the width of a wine glass.

Round holes have also been cut at the end of the cuts to allow glasses to slide in easily and be held securely in place.

‘So happy with my wine and cheese table,’ the woman wrote further down the post.

One of the great benefits of the table is that no matter what sort of surface the tray is on, there is zero likelihood of spilt drinks.
