Woman who claims to channel messages from angels says connecting with them feels like a ‘cloak’

A woman who claims to channel messages from angels left some viewers unconvinced when she shared her story on This Morning.

South Africa-born Nicky Williams, 55, a therapist and certified angel practitioner, spoke to Dermot O’Leary and Alison Hammond about her work, saying how she can deliver messages from late loved ones and feels a ‘cloak’ around her when communicating with angels.

Nicky uses angel cards, which are similar to tarot cards but are used to decode what is currently happening, rather than what might happen in the future.

She claims she has received messages about her own late father and first felt her gift when she was a child.

‘I will hear words or I have had situations where myself personally, I was wondering what to do because a bad situation was happening and I just had this in my head “it’s time to go, it’s time to move, time to change job”,’ she said.

‘They are so clear that I cannot ignore it. I know it in my heart.’

Nicky said that without realising it, she has been hearing messages from angels since she was a child.

She used to stand in the garden chatting into space and would tell her mother that she was speaking to someone.

As she got older she claims that she started to realise there was some kind of communication that was ‘beyond something else’ and she thought everyone else could do it.

‘For me, it’s a feeling. I often feel like a beautiful cloak is coming around me. It goes really quiet,’ Nicky explained.

She recounted that when her father passed away, she was crying in her bedroom and all of a sudden felt this cloak.

‘This peace washed over me. It was incredible. I heard in my head. “He’s fine, he’s where he needs to be. We’re looking after him”,’ she said.

Dermot asked what the first step is to connecting with angels and Nicky said to sit quietly and tell them you would love to connect with them. She said to be still and quiet and see what happens

Now Nicky works with clients, sharing messages from angels.

‘I believe that everyone has guardian angels. I don’t see them [the angels], I feel them,’ she explained.

Elsewhere in the interview she clarified: ‘Usually they are confirming what you already know and by me saying it, it adds a little bit of peace for somebody and they go “oh okay”.’

The interview concluded with Alison asking Nicky what she would tell people who are cynical about the angel world.

She said: ‘The proof is in the pudding. Try it. I love to help people to connect to them. See what happens.

‘I have had it proved to me so categorically in some ways. First step is sitting quietly and saying I would love to connect with you and be still and quiet and see what happens.’

Viewers were left bemused by the interaction, with many sceptical about what Nicky said.

One person said: ‘On ‘This Morning, they’re seriously interviewing a person who claims ‘I can communicate with angels’ and she’s had this ‘other level’ of listening since she was a child. She’s now explaining how she knows it’s angels, WTAF is going on.’

Another commenter wrote: ‘I found lots of feathers in my garden today and thought it was angels looking after me. Then I realised my neighbours cat had killed a pigeon.’

And a separate unimpressed viewer penned: ‘The angels told me to switch channel.’

But some people appeared to have belief in what Nicky was saying, sharing images and messages that they thought were from their ‘angels’ such as double figures.

Viewers were left bemused by the interaction, with many sceptical about what Nicky said. However, some people shared the messages and signs they have seen, including this one who the commenter said looked like an angel and they took as a sign to keep fighting their son's epilepsy
