A woman who allegedly stole a shopping trolley full of groceries from Woolworths tried to push staff away as they attempted to stop her leaving the supermarket. 

The 26-year-old woman was filmed sprinting out of a shopping centre in the Sydney suburb of Baulkham Hills while staff were chasing and telling her to stop. 

In video footage, a Woolworths employee is seen grabbing the shopping trolley after the woman ran outside.

One staff member claimed the woman stole the trolley full of groceries as the other employee tried to grab the alleged stolen groceries. 

The trolley was allegedly rammed into a parked car several times before another shopper tries to intervene. 

A man told the woman that if she didn’t steal the products than she should show her receipt to staff, but she claims she doesn’t have one. 

The man told her that she stole the groceries if she doesn’t have a receipt. 

The woman said the staff are breaking the law because they are trying to take her trolley. 

As staff and the woman continue to argue, the woman yelled ‘let my f***ing trolley go,’ in the footage by 7News. 

A witness to the altercation, Dimple Singh, said the women shoved an employee onto the ground.   

‘I saw that she had pushed the Woolworths lady down on the ground. She was on the ground, and this girl tried to flee with the entire trolley,’ Ms Singh told 7News.  

‘To do something like that was not right, she could have harmed that other lady.’ 

An off-duty notices the woman running away while being chased by staff and arrests her. She has been charged with assault and shoplifting and will face Parramatta Local Court on July 24

The woman allegedly snatched some nappies and tea towels before she let go of the trolley and ran away.
