Bean was transported to a hospital for treatment, reported WRCB-TV. His condition is unknown at this time.

On Sunday morning, however, TBI released an update saying that efforts to identify the suspect in the shooting were ongoing, and that the ‘individual identified in an earlier release has been located and, at this time, does not appear to be involved in the incident.’

The agency did not specify whether the ‘individual’ in question was Jackie Bean. DailyMail.com reached out to TBI seeking a clarification on Monday and was told in an email that officials with the agency ‘are not yet identifying that individual.’

Sheriff Clint Shrum said it is unclear if Comer died during the officer-involved shooting on Saturday, or before.
