Surveillance footage shows the women nonchalantly waltzing to the exit door with stacks of goodies before spraying two employees with the mace and shocking the third employee with a stun gun.

The employees called 911 after the incident where they escaped ‘with stacks of merchandise,’ Mandeville Police Chief Gerald Sticker said.

Police said the suspects left in a silver Honda sedan with a temporary license plate, however investigators have not been able to determine the numbers on the plate.

Officials have revealed all five of the suspects were between 5’5′ and 5’10’ in height and believed to be in their 20’s.

They say all five women are African-American – three with a lighter complexion and two with a darker complexion.

Sticker said ‘This is much more than a felony shoplifting,’ Sticker said. ‘We are treating this as an armed robbery which carries a much stiffer penalty.’

He added ‘This is over and above your average shoplifting. They armed themselves. It fits an armed robbery and when we catch these individuals, that’s what they’ll be charged with.’

Sticker has asked that anyone with information on the crime to please call the Mandeville Police Department at 985 626 9711.
