A Woolworths shop assistant has been videoed confronting customers who stacked their trolley with paper rolls and tinned food.

With toilet paper in short supply as a result of coronavirus pandemic, two men at the Marrickville Metro, in Sydney’s inner west, instead resorted to stocking up on paper towels and non-perishable items.

The Woolworths employee became frustrated and told them so shortly after 10pm on Wednesday night as they attempted to buy more goods than usual at the supermarket self-serve checkout.

‘Are you going to listen or should I call security?,’ she said.  ‘We’re not letting anyone bulk buy.’

One of the men disregarded her directive and told her to ‘call security’ and ‘do what you like’ as the younger man argued he had already paid for two boxes, only to annoy the woman working at Woolworths.

‘There’s no point of arguing with me,’ she said.

‘Are you understanding now there’s a situation where everybody’s bulk buying?
