Federal law enforcement agents executed a search warrant and served a subpoena to WWE boss Vince McMahon amid alleged hush money payments, it has emerged.

According to reports, almost $15million were paid to settle sexual misconduct allegations from four women against McMahon over the past decade and a half.

The alleged payments were the focus of an internal investigation last year. On Wednesday, WWE disclosed that ‘on July 17, 2023, federal law enforcement agents executed a search warrant and served a federal grand jury subpoena on Mr. McMahon. No charges have been brought in these investigations.’

The company also disclosed that McMahon went on medical leave last month following ‘major spinal surgery’, and will remain absent until further notice.

It comes as WWE bids to seal its blockbuster merger with the UFC.

The wrestling giant is set to join forces with Endeavor Group-owned UFC to create a new sports company, TKO Inc, which is valued at about $21 billion.

‘On July 21, 2023, Mr. McMahon went on medical leave after undergoing major spinal surgery,’ the company wrote.

‘Mr. McMahon will remain on medical leave until further notice but will remain Executive Chairman of the Company.’

The 77-year-old announced last year that he had retired, a month after stepping down as CEO and chairman.

Day-to-day-control was handed down to his daughter Stephanie McMahon and Nick Khan. It came while the company’s board investigated allegations of misconduct against the long-time boss.
