WWE star Matt Riddle has claimed that he was sexually assaulted at New York’s JFK airport at the weekend.

The 37-year-old shared a post on Instagram explaining the accusations, detailing his allegations with an image of a man who he claimed assaulted him at the airport.

He has since deleted the post, but shared another image of himself on Sunday with the caption: ‘Finally leaving JFK and I never wanna come back here again.’

The former MMA star is set to be live on WWE television on Monday night as he continues to team with Scottish former WWE champion Drew McIntyre as they feud with the Viking Raiders and the New Day.

According to TMZ, there is now an investigation underway into the allegations made by the former United States and tag team champion.

‘Nothing like being sexually assaulted by an officer and harassed at the JFK airport,’ Riddle began in the now-deleted post.

‘No means no and just because I’m nice doesn’t mean yes!!! A******!!!

‘Don’t know their Twitter or Instagram handles but I took pictures, normally I’m like whatever but today was really weird and uncomfortable and they made a point to make me feel small and useless.

‘Definitely one of the most uncomfortable travel days I’ve ever had thanks NYC you’re so progressive and accepting!’

According to TMZ, Port Authority officers were called due to disruption caused by a disorderly person – Riddle – and they met him in the terminal at the airport.

It is said that police spoke to Riddle, who was apologetic about his behaviour, no police report  was filed, and any issues were dealt with. Port Authority is said to have been shocked about the wrestler’s follow-up claim on social media.

Riddle was absent from Monday night’s RAW programme.
