Nicole Scherzinger reportedly required medical attention while filming The X Factor’s Judges’ Houses round in South Africa, which aired on Saturday evening.
Sources tell The Sun that the former Pussycat Dolls singer, who was joined by rapper Stormzy, was placed on an antibiotics drip after it was discovered she had severe tonsillitis which caused her great pain.
The 39-year-old was said to be ‘very frightened’ after she was struck down while ‘thousands of miles from home’, yet thankfully she could be treated onsite.

Nicole’s tense scenes in Judges’ Houses aired on Saturday as it was revealed that she reportedly fell ill during filming, in a terrifying incident.
Insiders told the publication: ‘Nicole had a lot of pain in her throat, and that was very worrying for her as a singer. She battled through filming but on the last day it got too much and she agreed she needed to see a doctor.
‘It was very frightening, especially as she was thousands of miles from home. It was a very frightening experience for her and her team, especially as she was thousands of miles from home at the time.
‘Luckily, she returned to the hotel to finish her scenes that day. Nicole had to get the all-clear from doctors as she had a trip for UNICEF the next day.’

As will be revealed this weekend, she then joined the group – which includes Talia Dean, Tracey Leanne Jefford, Slavko, Matt Linnen, Kevin Davy White and Berget Lewis – on safari.
